On Saturday, February 8, 2025, NFMTA Local Audition was held.  Here are the winners of this year!

Congratulations to all students who have won, but also for students who took this opportunity.

Kathleen Cardwell Scholarship $500 – Cindy Zhou, student of Hengyi Hsiang

Jackie Hollingsworth Scholarship $400 – Evan Li, student of Hengyi Hsiang

NFMTA Scholarship $300 – Devin Haynes, student of Dawn Dalangin Hawk

1st Alternate – Avritti Rustagi, student of Rwei Hao

2nd Alternate – Aneesh Gosangari, student of Rwei Hao

The purpose of the scholarship is to enhance their music study further, and Cindy and Evan are exactly doing so by taking  private lessons from renowned college professors to advance their technique and musicality, to get to the next possibilities.

Cindy Zhou would use this scholarship to have private lessons with Dr. Vincente Della Tonia of Georgia State University. 

Evan Li will take lessons with Dr. Alan Woo.
